朝代畫廊很高興向您介紹《起步檔：東亞青年當代藝術作品展》將於2014年3月22日展出。自從上個世紀末開始，世界各地的當代藝術發展十分迅速，也因為新興經濟體的崛起，當地社會大眾對於藝術品的需求大增，特別是東亞區域的文化背景、價值觀念、現實際遇及對應方式等皆有某種程度的相似，東亞的藝術市場亦經常被世人探討著，直到現在仍是十分蓬勃地成長。「經濟基礎決定上層建築」，如果我們說經濟影響到藝術市場的發展過程，那麼這十餘年的東亞藝術市場蓬勃發展則體現出一個社會對於精神生活的渴求與嚮往。
朝代畫廊自從2000年以後，便陸續經營與典藏青年當代藝術。這些年來，我們發現中、台、日、韓等地的青年藝術家一直都具有相當程度的影響力，自然也接觸過許多青年藝術家較為早期的代表作品。這些具有意義的作品不但是藝術家們的創作脈絡，亦是反映著一個時期當下的社會背景與脈動。《起步檔：東亞青年當代藝術作品展》正值2014台北國際當代藝術博覽會(Young Art Taipei)前夕，我們將呈現出20餘位藝術家的創作精品，希望能夠藉由此次的企劃，與您分享我們過往的足跡，以及對於青年藝術家的關懷。

Dynasty Gallery is glad to introduce you “Starting Gear: East Asian Contemporary Youth Artists Art Works Collected Exhibition”. The exhibition will be opened from 2014/3/22 to 5/17. Since the end of 20th century, the development speed of contemporary art is quite fast and the demand of art works are more increased in the world because the newly economics mushroomed. Especially the East Asian art market is usually discussed by the people due to the rather unity of culture background, concept and values, reality experience, and the reaction when facing challenge. Till now, it is still growing up very speedy. If we say economic influences the process of art market development, then the booming East Asian art market between these 10 to 20 years expresses that a society is thirsting and aspiring for the spiritual life.
Dynasty Gallery has managed and collected contemporary art since 2000. We figured out the works of Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese artist have quite infusive. Of course, we have touched many earlier stage works by the young artists as well. These meaningful works are not only the creation thread of artists but also the background and beating of a society. “Starting Gear: East Asian Contemporary Youth Artists Art Works Collected Exhibition” is held before Young Art Taipei. Dynasty Gallery will present you more than 20 artists’ works. Through this program, we hope we can share our tracks and concern for the young artists with you.
