很高興向您宣布,《25毫米的共鳴:日本藝術家交流聯展》將於2023年9月16號在朝代畫廊舉行開幕,展期至11月4日。繼朝代畫廊與ART LAB A.S.K.、櫻木畫廊合作的《台日交流展-東京場》在夏日完美收官後,台北場亦即將揭開序幕!本次於朝代畫廊展出的五位日本藝術家,他們將分別以架上繪畫、雕塑、裝置,複合媒材等型態的作品,以各自的創作語彙,將他們獨到的生活觀察心得,以真切的姿態呈現在我們面前,值得您在初秋時分,前來細細品味日本藝術風情。

We are pleased to announce that "25mm Resonance: Japanese Artists Exchange Exhibition" will be opening at Dynasty Gallery on 2023.9.16 and will run until 11.4. Following the successful summer exchange exhibition in collaboration with ART LAB A.S.K. and Sakuragi Fine Arts in Tokyo, Dynasty Gallery is excited to tell you that the Taipei exhibition will kick off in mid-autumn! The five Japanese artists featured in this exhibition will present their unique observations on life through various forms of art, including paintings, sculptures, installations, and mixed media. Each artist will use their creative language to vividly express their insights, inviting you to savor the depth of their work.

本次展名《25毫米的共鳴》,是取自藝術家三友周太提出的作品概念。將他人的生命軌跡融入自身並以此做出作品,來象徵著人之間的聯繫,乃其創作主軸。三友周太被來自波蘭的Robert Seikon於2016年在朝代畫廊外牆所繪製的壁畫創作紀錄吸引,其井然有序的線條給了藝術家發想作品的靈感。這次展出的裝置作品,藝術家注視著畫廊外牆上的壁畫條紋,並使用這些條紋的寬度「25毫米」來創作,象徵著這裡正在發生的事件。 

 

The exhibition, titled "25mm Resonance," is based on a concept proposed by artist Syuta MITOMO. It symbolizes the connection between people by incorporating the life trajectories of others into the artist's own and creating artwork from them. MITOMO was inspired by a mural created by Polish artist Robert Seikon on the exterior wall of the Dynasty Gallery in 2016. The orderly lines of the mural sparked the artist's imagination. The installation works in this exhibition are created by focusing on the stripes on the gallery's exterior wall, with a width of "25mm," symbolizing the events happening here.

上出由紀欲以作品表達「記憶」之於人的意義,她認為記憶是過去確實存在的集合,而它們在任何的時空下都可以被反覆回想,以支撐「現在」,而藝術品便是對「現在」的表達,通過觀看藝術品這一行為,觀眾和藝術家便是在共享當下。上出由紀在不斷疊加的照片上繪畫,看似多重曝光的照片,空間失去了特定性,而人物花鳥等元素則隨機被強調或隱沒,藝術家與觀者在作品畫面前,彷若同時超脫了線性時間的概念。

 

Yuki KAMIDE seeks to express the significance of "memory" in her work. She believes that memory is a collection of moments that truly existed in the past, and they can be recalled and support the "present" in any time and space. Artworks represent the "present," and through the act of viewing art, both the audience and the artist are sharing the present moment. KAMIDE paints on continuously overlaid photographs, creating a seemingly multiple exposure effect. Space loses its specificity, and elements like people, birds, and flowers are either emphasized or obscured at random. In front of the artwork, both the artist and the viewer seem to transcend the concept of linear time.

矢田真之每天創作雕塑,通過這些作品讓「想知道事物的本質」這個想法變得具體而真實。我們日復一日地生活,然而這個世界中存在的一切並不總是能以肉眼清晰可見,但有時我們會感到一些模糊的存在。這些存在會依據歷史背景、地點和價值觀等各種因素而以各種不同的形式和意義呈現,有時這種存在會變得有生命力,進而創造出一個神秘而不可思議的世界。仔細觀察映入眼簾的世界,正是矢田真之追求的世界。


Masayuki YATA creates sculptures daily, making the idea of "wanting to know the essence of things" concrete and real through these artworks. We go about our daily lives, but not everything in this world is always clearly visible to the naked eye. Sometimes, we can sense the presence of something vague. These presences take on various forms and meanings depending on factors like historical background, location, and values. At times, these presences become vital, giving rise to a mysterious and inexplicable world. The world that emerges when closely observing what meets the eye is precisely what YATA seeks to explore.

山崎小枝子 Saeko YAMAZAKI

《無法被擁抱的孩子 A child who cannnot be held》

多年前 ,山崎小枝子曾看到了讓她感到憤慨不已的虐童新聞,她開始創作「無法被擁抱的孩子」系列,藝術家筆下的小孩身體纏繞著帶刺的鐵絲,希望能藉此向傷害他/她的人反擊,並呼籲社會重視此問題。後來,新冠疫情蔓延全世界,她意識到保護這個世界兒童的唯一方式,是與地球和所有的生物一同進化並共生;繽紛正向取代了悲情苦難,山崎小枝子現在懷著希望創作,以繪畫與立體作品展現信念。

Many years ago, Saeko YAMAZAKI came across news of child abuse that left her filled with anger. She began creating the "A child who cannot be held" series, depicting children entwined with barbed wire in her artwork. She aimed to use this to fight back against those who harmed them and to raise awareness about the issue in society. Later, as the COVID-19 pandemic spread worldwide, she realized that the only way to protect the world's children was to evolve and coexist with the Earth and all its creatures. The themes of vibrancy and positivity replaced the previous sorrow and hardship in her work. YAMAZAKI now creates with hope, expressing her beliefs through both paintings and three-dimensional art.

小木曽‧韋茲‧恭子以繪畫表現汲取於日常生活的感觸。當新冠疫情肆虐時,藝術家擔心起住在遠方的父母,所以她請父母每天拍攝散步的情況,這行為持續了三年之久。經過藝術家不斷耐心鼓勵,他們拍攝照片的構圖從原本的生疏拙劣,進步到可以自豪地在照片旁寫下「我正在創作藝術!」等字樣,這個過程對小木曽‧韋茲‧恭子來說是有所啟發的,也藉此重新思考起「距離與日常」的關係。

Kyoko Waits KOGISO expresses her feelings drawn from everyday life through her paintings. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she worried about her parents who lived far away. She asked her parents to take photos of their daily walks for health check-ups, a practice that lasted for three years. Through the artist's patient encouragement, their initially awkward and amateurish photo compositions gradually improved, and they proudly started adding comments like "I'm creating art!" next to the photos. This process inspired KOGISO and led her to reevaluate the relationship between "distance and daily life."
